Long time friends and business colleagues, James Parker and Bobby Proutt formed Clearwater Ventures in 2019 after spending over a decade working together in the ecological restoration industry.  Clearwater Ventures was formed with the underlying belief that economic vitality, growth and development and the restoration and protection of our environment are compatible objectives, not mutually exclusive. 

We express this belief by providing compensatory mitigation solutions to the public and private development community through the turnkey development and operation of mitigation banks, water quality projects, habitat restoration and other similar project types.

We serve the development community by providing mitigation solutions to facilitate the increasingly complex world of environmental permitting.  We serve our landowner partners and the regulated community by working tirelessly to restore degraded ecosystems into highly functioning and sustainable, natural systems. 

In their careers, James and Bobby have developed and operated more than 30 ecological restoration projects from coast to coast across the United States. These projects have included wetland, stream and nutrient mitigation banks, species habitat restoration, conservation banks, and customer specific mitigation projects. They have sourced, contracted and closed over 1,000 credit offset transactions grossing more than $75 million in revenue.
